When you install Uply, Slack asks you to approve a set of permissions. Uply requests only the minimum scopes needed to function. These include the ability to send direct messages (for daily questions), read basic user profile information (for the leaderboard), and post to channels you designate (for weekly summaries).
Uply does not request permission to read your messages, access your files, or join private channels. We follow the principle of least privilege to protect your workspace privacy.
You can review the exact permissions Uply uses at any time in your Slack workspace settings under Apps > Uply > Permissions. If you have questions about any specific scope, contact us at support@uply.work.
